VowSite is built differently: each gift is charged directly to your personal Stripe account the moment your guest gives. You are the merchant of record — the money is yours from the first second, on Stripe's standard rolling payout schedule.

Who covers the fee is your call

Card processing costs real money, and we're honest about it: a blended 3.5% covers Stripe's processing and the platform. By default, guests add it at checkout — the way tipping a card fee works at a farmers market — so the amount they meant to give is the amount you receive. Prefer to absorb it yourself? Flip one switch and guests pay exactly the gift amount.

• Guest-covered by default: a $100 gift arrives as $100.
• Couple-covered mode: guests see clean round numbers, you net the gift minus the fee.
• No percentage skimmed silently — the fee is shown plainly at checkout.

More than one fund, and thank-yous handled

Create separate funds — honeymoon, first home, the dog's college education — each with its own photo and story. Every gift flows into the same ledger as your physical gifts, so the Gift & Thank-You Center can track who gave what and which thank-you notes are still owed. The morning after the wedding, you have a list, not a mystery.
