Alex and Taylor met on a rain-soaked Tuesday at a coffee shop on SE Division — the kind of Portland afternoon where everyone is slightly late and slightly damp. Alex was unfolding a trail map of the Columbia River Gorge. Taylor asked if the table was free, then asked about the map, and two hours later neither of them had ordered a second drink because they had forgotten to look at the menu. The next three years became a collage of fern-lined hikes, ferry rides across the Columbia, farmers-market Saturdays, and one disastrous attempt at sourdough that they still laugh about. They moved into a walk-up with west-facing windows and a ridiculous number of houseplants. Friends started calling them "the greenhouse people" long before they booked the venue. When Alex proposed, it was not on a cliff at sunset. It was in their kitchen, after a long day, with the plants watching. They wanted a wedding that felt like that: close, green, and full of the people who made this city home. The Greenhouse Pavilion, with its glass roof and candlelight, is the only place that made sense. We cannot wait to celebrate with you.
